IMU Chinese Singing Competition 2011 -- Audition

I was very busy lately due to the IMU Chinese Singing Competition. Luckily I managed to blog a lil by utilising this Raya break. Happy holiday guys! Alright back to the topic, this event is divided into 2 days: audition and finale. It is tiring and stressful throughout the process. From looking for sponsorship and judges, tickets selling, votes counting and the announcement of the finalist/winner to things as small as wrapping hampers and frying nuggets that will to be sold on the event night!

Alright, let's jump to the audition day to have a look at the contestants! ^^

I'm back to M'sia for one month plus and never got the time to blog. Not until now I have to force myself to blog using the time I should spend on preparation for PBL session tomorrow morning. Not saying much, let the pics do the saying shall we? Have fun ~~reading~~ viewing the pics taken! =)

Tree Adventure (Auckland, NZ)

Whoohoo~ This activity that we're going to do is going to be extremely fun and exciting!! It requires lotsa strength, energy, determination you name it. Am going to swing like a tarzan!! Alright, I'm going nuts since this is my very first time doing this. I've been craving for this in Malaysia and now, I have the chance to try in New Zealand. Awesome!!

It's freezing cold since it's winter now

But surely we will get our bodies warmed up later
due to sweat blood over this adventure

Wearing unwanted cloth in dark colour as I worried that they will get stained ><

Here we are at Tree Adventure! Whee~

Not too hard, just need to focus in your balancing

Looks easy but in fact not that easy to walk on that webby rope

My small feet could just penetrate through the rope and stuck in there easily

This is hard especially when the trunks keep shaking even though

you have try your best to stand steadily on it

This is pretty easy as the woods are tied tightly

Again, doing this.... I've change the way of doing this

They said it's easier for you to walk sideway like a crab for this

And yeah, you can say so ^^

I'm having difficulty on climbing the webby rope

I'm exhausted after doing the previous courses and

my hands are painful grabbing tight on the rope to pull myself up

I find this hard to even walk on it and darling let go his hands when walking on it

I'm very very exhausted

Feel no more strength in me and pain in my arms for using too much strength

My palm are red for grabbing too hard on the rope yet I enjoyed myself so much! xD

People find this one of the hardest obstacle (as you can see from above, LOL)

but surprisingly everyone is amazed that I can go through it smoothly

I'm glad that we all make it thorugh the entire 8 courses, YESSS!!!

Back to life

Well, this is a late update. Though exam is over 3 weeks ago and I'm here in Auckland for holiday, I feel obligated to blog about my uni life. I had lotsa fun with coursemates where everyday is an enjoyable day spent with them. I'm so grateful to have them and it was never been so enjoyable in my study life. Nevertheless, other than attending lectures, struggling for exam is a total disaster. Too many notes to be 'munched'. Too many reaction, drug's name, function, adverse effect etc to be memorised. I have FINALLY feel the tension of a pharmacy student, having thought now that it is really not easy to score. Hmm not hard to pass, but damn hard to score. Owh well, scratch those unpleasant sentense since the lifeless-studying-for-exam period is over for the moment, let's talk about something fun. Blogging this post far away from Malaysia makes me miss IMU a lot!

A video on facebook shared by my friend caught my eye. But I realised it's just one part of it. When I searched for it, I found there's something HUGE happened behind this and there are 3 parts of it. I've shared the links here, hope you guys love it. Girls, if you ever experience the same situation, for sure you will cry like hell like how Nikki did. Aww I enjoyed this 94377324924 times more than Prince William and Princess Kate's wedding. It's so much more magnificient than all other famous Hollywood celebrities.

I've always love flash mob ever since I get to know it in the newspaper many years ago. I still remember the flash mob which was reported to come along suddenly and scream in front of Mc Donalds (location/country -- forgotten) and then left as if nothing has happened. For that moment, I feel like wow, thats fun (childish me) and I would definitely give it a try if I have the chance. I never know the idea of flash mob went so big like what you can see here. I love the way they do it with PASSION, regardless of race. Even though they aren't doing it for you and get no pay for what they've done, but you can still see people willing to learn the dance at home, spend their time to doing this. I, as an audience, feel so much joy in front of my lappie. It's really really great!!! Many thumbs up!!

p/s: I can't stop aww-ing and clap my hands while watching the videos. Haha darling and baby casual were having fun watching it too! All the best to Justin and Nikki, toast! =)

I saw some bad comments about Nikki which quite a few numbers of people complaining she's fat. OMG whatever she looks does not matter with you okay? You're not the one who's marrying her. What I think is fairy tale does not have to be neccessarily a handsome good looking man and gorgeous attractive lady, right?

The most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen in Malaysia
I've always complain how rare to see rainbow here
but gladly I feel 'granted' somehow before my departure

I'm glad to have my exam done 3 days ago
and I'm so so ready to go for my holiday

My first destination, Ambassador Transit Hotel @ Changi Airport
I've been terrified with the word Changi ever since
I watched the thriller 'Old Changi Hospital'
A lame thriller which able to frighten me where
I still remember how the ghost popped out in the screen xD

After settling my belongings in the transit hotel,
first thing to do is definitely to contact my family and bf
Since this is my first time having flight transit and alone somemore
Nevertheless, just like how I travel last winter, I seem enjoying 'flying' alone

But I resist the temptation (as I'll have lotsa chance of having
western food in the coming 1 month time)

So now you see, I have no choice but to waste $68 for a stay of 6 hours *sigh*

Indeed, it's very clean and comfy

Haha can't blame, even a guy may feel so if they travel far alone and have to stay in hotel

This room has one advantage as in compared to the budget room

Ish I'm still not ready for backpack style alone, for now

packing within these 3 days after the EOS exam
But we are all happy that we have finished the exam, DAMN HAPPY
*tears* study Pharmacy and working at the same time isn't really easy

I've no idea how's our KLIA, but what I'm sure is Changi airport is uber BIG
and you have complete facilities here
Lotsa comfy couches are available
Feeling secure.. is what I need when I travel alone

Sorry for not updating my blog for couple of weeks. Am really busy with my reports, pbl, psd and port foilio these days. Its a very exciting day as our practical ended very early and I joined my coursemates for lunch buffet at Jogoya. Booyah! Something I must clarify over here that I heard lotsa bad comments about Jogoya before this which is also the reason I've been avoiding to dine here. So I actually came here with a piece of mind that: as long as I don't get food poisoning that should be okay. My friend did come here for buffet and almost all of them ended up in the clinic due to food poisoning. Anyway, that was more than a year ago. I hope they have improved by providing fresh foods now.

First thing to do after check in the hotel is to feed our hungry stomaches. Here we go to have the famous chicken rice balls in Malacca. Many people even said that your trip to Malacca isn't complete without having chicken rice ball here. I bet it's true. C'mon, it's one of the signature food in Malacca! Btw, I've went searching online and found that Hoe Kee and Chung Hwa are both very famous but most people prefer Hoe Kee (how 'bout you?), so we made a move to try Hoe Kee first.

It's hard to avoid queuing to taste some nice foods here
I've heard that it's even longer queue during weekends which have to queue for hours!

But guess what?
We had actually won the game!!

Worst thing is the gifts are from IMU itself!!
But we don't mind since it's just a game and
we do need to pay for those stuff in IMU xD

Believe or not, this is my first happy meal in my life!! Mum used to buy normal set instead of happy meal for me and sis when we were still young. Credit to Henry Tan that I decided to buy one after reading his post.

Here we are at my favourite Korean BBQ Restaurant with darling. I kept saying that I will bring him here when he's in NZ. In addition to the cozy dining area, the foods here are served in big portion and it's affordable. Hence, this place is highly recommended.

Good morning 2011

After a great NYE countdown at The Curve, darling and I headed home. Anyway we slept for merely 2 hours as we go out again at 5am. Yeah so early, what for? We're going for hiking!! I'm so excited as I always like to do something unusual on special day like this, 1-1-11. As for this time, I went to climb Broga Hill on the first day of 2011 simply because we wanna see the first sun rise of the year!! Booyah~

Look, it's still so dark when we reached the peak
It's kinda hard to climb as we can't really see clearly the route
and somemore it's our very first time coming here
The journey isn't that tiring but some of the paths are really steep
First thing came to my mind was: "Omg climbing is not a big deal
but I'm going to die when I'm going down this steep hill"

We took a rest at the first peak and took some photos
Darling wanted to climb to the third peak
but Alvin is reluctant because he's exhausted

That's alright for me
As it looks very beautiful even it's the first peak
Somemore we might miss the sunrise if we climb higher

wayyyyy too bright in such dark condition

It's new year eve. I've planned to held gathering with Mun Yee Primary buddies but too bad, most of them can't make it. Anyway, I always have the oldest buddy from Mun Yee Primary with me >>> that's my darling!! Darling is one of the oldest buddy I've known (since standard one in primary), not to mention we went to the same kindergarten as well!!! xD

Made our way to Mid Valley after I have my hair permed. We had lunch at Reminsce, main intention was to meet up my primary bestie, patricia. Will blog about it later anyway (there's too much to blog about)!

Waited for around half an hour even though we've booked earlier
Business is too good I have to say especially at this time

I firstly thought that the drink is going to spill out
but it's the design of the glass that renders my confusion

The way they ordered the meals was so funny
They literally pick the dishes while scanning through the menu
They don't even bother to count how many dishes they've ordered
Ended up 12 dishes for 7 persons!!! LOL~

Hellooooooo guys!!!! Haha I'm not sure how many of you guys are reading this post, since I haven't been blogging after I come back to Malaysia. Many of my friends, even darling as well, complaining that everytime they drop by here, it's the same old post.

Sorry guys, it's so hard to spend some time even to online. Listen to my excuse, I'm sure you'll understand me LOL. I have to attend lectures during weekdays (8-6pm) and work during weekends. SOMEMORE, I travel to IMU from Setapak every single day!!! Know how pathetic I am now? ><

Hada labo is the best companion since it's very low humidity in NZ

Had soooo much fun in the adventure we did. Seriously hope that we can have chance to come to Waitomo cave again in the future. Of course, we'll explore the cave and view glow worm in another way........... That's BLACK WATER RAFTING!!!!!!!!! ARghhh.. It's definitely in my wishlist. FYI, it's too cold(since it's winter) that the water temperature drops so low that I have no choice but to choose abseiling instead of black water rafting. Anyway, abseiling is amazing!!! Love it!!!

Oh yeah I went to One Tree Hill. Well, what's the first thing that came to your mind when you heard of it? For me, it's definitely going to be one of my favourite tv series~ One Tree Hill!! Yeah exactly the same spelling. But this had nothing to do with this tv series. =P

I had a great day today. I did a lot of exercise, hmm why do I said so? I've walked more than 10km. Oh yeah, it's almost an mission impossible for some coach potato like me. I still remember how I used to do Joghaton till I feel so dizzy that I actually got up onto the ambulance to rest. LOL that's the outcome if you jog with an empty stomach for such a long distance.

After a super tiring day, we went to a nearby Malaysian restaurant. Yeah, I miss Malaysian foods a lot. Frankly, the food in NZ is a big NO NO for me, mainly because of the foods are uber pricey (average RM31 per (ordinary) meal) and not as delicious as Malaysia's.

Classic Reddish Mushroom

Can't wait to do some nail art after I bought the OPI nail polish in NZ. Well, you're either going to love it or hate it. Why? I'm using classic bright red as my base. It's my very first time applying such reddish nail polish. I know some of you guys might not like it or think it's very 'aunty' yet I've decided to have a try on it. A RED and WHITE nail art~ resembles the mushrooms in Devonport in my previous entry. =P

These are what I used in this entry
You must be wondering why is the Elianto nail polish doing here
Well, I love manicure so much that I've even brought them along with me to NZ! ^^

Apply the red colour polish after the base coat
FYI, this is OPI *Off with Her Red*
Oh yeah this is from Alice in the Wonderland collection!!! Whee~
I don't really fancy red nails actually
But luckily it turned out to be okay for me

Make a few stripes and fill up half of the nail diagonally in alternate finger nails

Lastly, place some white dots below the diagonally filled up nail
and don't forget to apply top coat after this

Here's the outcome~
So how is it?
Love it? Hate it?

Of course, you might want to try on other colours~
Other colours might even look nicer!!!
This is a very simple nail art that won't take too much of your time
Give it a try and have fun!!! ^^

PS: Now I wonder how if I go Devonport with the same dressing (red jacket and white sweater) together with this red and white nail art? Match to maxxx!!! xD

Woke up early this morning feeling very happy and excited at the same time because I'll be going to shopping in NZ for the very first time. And guess what? I was going to shop for winter jacket, which I always fancy when I watched movies and dramas!

We actually caught a free shuttle in front of Langham Hotel to a place called Dress-smart where most of the boutique outlets are located.

A simple breakfast we made ourselves
Garlic bread with sausage and chicken ham
A simple happiness to make breakfast together with my loved one

Went to Dressmart for shopping after breakfast
Spot this nice coat
NZ$ 169 is the reason I put it back on rack ><

While darling tried on Hallenstein coat
Both of us didn't get any clothes back
'cause we're going to Queenstreet instead
I'm sure we can find nicer coats there*evil laugh*

Wheeeeeeeeeee~ I'm here!!! I'm here!!! Finally!!! In Auckland to meet up darling after 4 months of separation!!! Well I know, some of you guys must have thought cheh, 4 months only what. But our merely 4 months seem to be even longer than a year! I must admit it's not easy to maintain a long distance relationship.

Luckily the weather of the day I arrived was superb

I must say that the campbell mushroom soup in NZ
is totally different compared to M'sia!

You must be wondering why is title so contradicting. All I can tell is it's definitely not a good thing to be written here. I wish I never have this chance to write this entry. Let's look at the Sony Tx7 my family have bought in January. I still remember this is the very first time I've ever own some eolectronic so up to date. Sony centre didn't even have the brochures when we bought it. The salesman told us it's just the 5th day Tx7 on market.

Finally I can say goodbye to my mobile 3.2 megapixel camera

Mel was testing on it the first day we brought it back home

The worst has came. We now have the accessories (charger, adapters etc) in PAIR but not the digicam! Get what I mean now? Yes! It was stolen! !@#$%^&* Sad to say, Mel lose it in the office. I was so dissapointed as I have so many pics inside there which were taken in the branded warehouse, snowflakes in Subang etc in the past few months. I was sooooooo regret that I didn't copy the pics from the digicam. It's the loss of those pics that actually cause my sadness. It's simply because I can get a new digicam but I won't get the pics back right?

Went to International Beauty Expo (IBE) which held in KLCC from 22-25 May. I don't know much about make up, I don't even know how to draw eyeliner!!! BUT, this is definitely a good chance for me to learn more.
